A Landmark Reimagined

Originally built in 1890 as the First Baptist Church of Saugerties, this building stood for over a century as a cornerstone of the local community. Over time, as the congregation diminished, the building fell into disrepair and faced an uncertain future.

In March 2021, the Ellenbogen family—local residents of Saugerties—purchased the property with a vision: to preserve its historic character while giving it new life as a modern workspace.

Following a full-scale restoration and renovation, with over $1 million invested, the building was transformed into what is now 32 Partition Workspace. Original architectural elements were carefully preserved, while modern systems and design brought the space up to today’s standards.

By August 2021, the building was complete—and demand for office space in Saugerties was so strong that it reached full occupancy even before construction finished.

Today, 32 Partition stands as both a tribute to the past and a foundation for the future—supporting local businesses in a space built on history, community, and purpose.
